NCM Registered as Authorised Corporate Service Provider
October 2025
Another string to our bow – NCM has recently become registered as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider which will allow us to assist clients with the new Companies House requirements in relation to verification of Directors and people with significant control (PSCs). From 18 November identity verification will become a legal requirement for all Directors and PSCs. New Directors will need to verify their identity in order to incorporate a new company or be appointed to an existing company. Existing Directors will need to confirm they have verified their identity at the same time as they file their next annual confirmation statement within the 12-month transition period. From 18 November, confirmation statements will not be accepted unless all Directors have verified, so we are assisting clients to complete identity verification in advance to allow timely submission of confirmation statements when required.
Where NCM act as company secretary we are reminding clients of this change to the rules and assisting with the verification process but also offering out to all clients as many are not aware this requirement is now upon them.
As part of our registration process our Corporate and Investor Services Team took part in advanced AML and fraud prevention training to equip them with more tools to aid the identity verification process. It will be interesting to see how Companies House deal with legacy issues such as Directors with a number of profiles but we hope the new software they have in place is sophisticated enough to recognise this and link profiles together. Each Director and PSC will be given a unique personal code which they can then use for all filings. No doubt there will be lots of learning as the new system beds in and we look forward to assisting clients navigate these.
