Plot Twists & Betrayals: NCM’s Traitors Night
November 2025
NCM’s recent charity fundraising Traitors Night proved to be a brilliantly executed blend of teamwork, suspense, strategic thinking and light-hearted sabotage – all in support of a fantastic cause. Inspired by the worldwide hit TV phenomenon The Traitors, the evening brought staff from across the organisation together for an immersive game of trust, deception and deduction, with the ultimate goal of raising funds for Alzheimer’s Society in support of Finlay and Ben’s ongoing fundraising efforts: Finlay Pratt is fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society
The night began with 27 people with four secretly appointed ‘traitors’: Mia, Eve, Sam, and Chris S. With the atmosphere set and the rules laid out, the game began immediately, marked by a mix of nervous glances, whispered alliances and plenty of dramatic flair. The faithfuls set about their mission to identify the traitors among them, while the traitors plotted silently from within, working to remain undetected long enough to outmaneuver the group and secure the win.
The event was also brilliantly enhanced by the efforts of Finlay and Ben, who not only coordinated the entire evening but went the extra mile by dressing up as Claudia Winkleman — fringe, eyeliner, capes and all. Their commitment to the theme brought humour and energy to the night, setting the perfect tone for an unforgettable event.
As the game unfolded, it became a test of strategic thinking and controlled misdirection. The first major twist came early when, in true traitor fashion, Chris made the ruthless decision to ‘murder’ his own wife, Kate. The shock among the faithfuls set the evening alight, and suspicions began to spread. But the traitors also had to contend with internal politics. As the rounds progressed, Chris found himself needing to outplay not just the faithfuls but his fellow traitors, too.
Through careful planning and a few well-timed betrayals, Chris ultimately backstabbed two of his own team — Sam and Eve — securing his path to a solo traitor victory by convincing the final faithful to banish the second last traitor, Mia, leaving the faithfuls Angela, Yumin, AnnaMaria and Alex A. By the final rounds, confusion among the faithfuls was at its peak, and with Angela trusting Chris, they decided to end the game, and Chris emerged as the winning traitor of the night.
Beyond the drama, laughter and competitive tension, the true success of the event lay in its purpose. The evening raised over £300, bringing our total to more than £2,571 raised for the Alzheimer’s Society – a remarkable achievement that reflects the generosity and spirit of everyone involved.
The Traitors Night was not only a brilliant team-building experience but also a reminder of how enjoyable and meaningful fundraising can be. Thanks to the creativity and hard work of Finlay, Ben and the wider NCM team; it was an unforgettable evening and one that will be talked about for a long time.
Will the Faithful prevail next time or will there be another successful night for a Traitor?
